26. Aw, come on, it was a good movie
As far as lame "anti-establishment" 80s movies go, it was good.

And the bit about kicking kids out of school so they could raise the test scores? Bush stole that from this movie and used it in Texas.

6. Yeah... absolutely no idea!
But I know PIL... and I also guess that anyone who would win the "cool DUer" points wouldn't be on on a Saturday night.

;)

But hell, I'm pretty cool, I just asked my neighbors to calm down the music, and my tight T did the job! Tits to the rescue!

17. I saw him play the first 2 times PIL played new York
One was a surprise performance at a country Western bar--that one was the best. He also produced a very good pop album by "Cowboys International" called Original Sin. He has an interesting website with some good downloads. He is one of my favorite guitarists. And I know you don't like Sid, but I lived in the Chelsea Hotel during that period. William Burroughs and I had the same ,umm, doctor. However, I don't need cool points, mine almost killed me. Give them to some other fool.

31. He also had sex with my "roommate" does that count as sharing?
And my roommate got beat buying heroin with Richard Hell. Those 2 idiots bought dime bags of baby powder. I won't mention my roommates name, but the last I heard there was an art show in new york called: Postcards from the Asylum" or something like that. He had started to draw on postcards while in a mental hospital and mailed them to the gallery owner. Anyway I'm babbling and this is my hidden past.....

43. Trust me, it would be moreso if you were in this nothing state
Where I live, they built this big fuck-off monstrosity tourist trap called "The Great Platte River Archway". If you've seen "About Schmidt", you've seen it. Anyway, it's this ridiculous thing because it's just a giant arch over a stretch of interstate, and basically the only landmark in Nebraska. You basically drive through a bunch of nothing to get to a gateway to more nothing. And that's life in Nebraska.

39. "Salesmanship is more important than talent"
Edited on Sun Aug-17-03 12:31 AM by roughsatori
A, once, very good friend, who is a pretty well known poet, use to say that to me in private. William, ou've got both.

He use to taunt me after I mocked his self promotion: "This is not the century to pretend you're Emily Dickinson."
