New Balance is made in the USA, no sweat shops, and they are reasonably priced and don't give in to the relentless consumer-brand fixation we have in this country.

New Balance makes excellent shoes, and they tend to be not only better made than some of the those of manufacturers more prone to 'flash' but are (like Brooks shoes) available in many sizes and generally offer better support. Doctors will often recommend New Balance or Brooks running shoes.

I only wear New Balance - alternate between 1121 running shoes and 904 trail runners. I wear men's size 13 2E, so I'm particularly grateful for NB sizing!
