3. There must be lots of "Three's Company" fans on DU!
:yourock:

Correct.

Roper always made jokes about Jack's perceived lifestyle, but he also said - and quite often - "You people have rights too." and it never once sounded sarcastic.

The show was progressive in its own coy ways. I :loveya: it to pieces! :D

Compare Roper with *, the two-faced liar, and the answer is clear...

5. George W. Bush never even refers to us by name.
Edited on Sat May-01-04 09:08 AM by terrya
Have you noticed? He's never, not once, used the words "gay" or "lesbian" or even "homosexual".

That's the ultimate in hate. He discrimates against us, he says we're a "threat" to marriage...and yet he can't even name us. We're here, and we're a perceived "threat" to the American family..but he just can't bring himself to mention the words "gay" "lesbian" or "homosexual". And when he offers feeble, bullshit prononuncements about giving "respect to all Americans" to try to counter his blatant homophobia...guess what? Never does the word "gay" pass his lips. Never.

Perhaps you guys may think I'm making too much of this. I find it the ultimate insult and the ultimate expression of how this President holds us in contempt.

7. No...
Closet types tend to be totally evil towards "out" homosexuals such as Roper believed Jack was.

Roper just had issues of male adequacy to deal with, I think.
