Question For Medical Doctors, Physiologists, Or Anyone With Knowledge
When my mom has heart pains, she puts a nitro pill under her tongue to dissolve for absorption into her bloodstream.

Does that mean I can put a thimble full of Scotch under my tongue and hold it there for a while to get drunker quicker?

1. No quicker.
Alcohol is absorbed about as well under the tongue as in the stomach, barring interfering food.

Now, an alcohol enema, that will get you drunk instantly. (Or so a friend once told me!)

2. But then when you hiccup, it could get messy.

3. That's a whole new perspective on "shooters".
