Yah! We get HBO now so i can watch Bill Maher

I like the guy. I don't necessarily agree with him n everything, but still, his show is hilarious.

Love him, hate him? What does DU think of Maher?

1. I think most of us like Maher to an extent.

There are some of us who hate him because he doesn't tow the liberal line 100 percent, but I think he adds a desperately needed voice to the airwaves. He's no Jon Stewart, but I think he's a pretty good defender of the left side of the spectrum on most issues. I agree with him maybe 85 percent of the time, but I will admit that he comes across as a crass neanderthal on gender issues. Other than that, he's pretty cool.

And Real Time is a great show, I think. Enjoy!

But I think hating him cuz he points out the flaws the dems have is pretty stupid, since half the time he's probably right.

8. He lost me when

he started complaining on his show because he was searched at an airport. Apparently he felt the authorities were wasting their time on a white man when they should have been profiling darkies. That cocky, superiority attitude generally separates the Libertarians from the real Liberals.

Probably so he can swear at the TV more. Or so he has somehting besides the Simpsons to watch when my brother and I move out.
