Man Accused Of Forging Checks From Dead Couple's Account
Cause Of Delavan Couple's Deaths Still Unknown

DELAVAN, Wis. -- A relative of a couple found dead in their Delavan home is accused of using their identities and forgery.

The 50-year-old man was arrested by Town of Delavan police Monday

"We have approximately 30 felony counts of forgery during the period of Dec. 31 and up and through after the bodies were found," Town of Delavan Police Chief Andrew Mayer said.

The suspect has a long criminal and civil court history, including spending time in federal prison for embezzling more than $1 million, 12 News reported.

The cause of death for 74-year-old Duane Recob and his 69-year-old wife, Carolee, is still unknown.
