classical music lovers....
does anyone know whether bocelli has ever recorded don giovanni or any other mozart opera or arias? I cant seem to find any anywhere. thanks

1. Don't know that, but....
I doubt that you will hear anything more moving than Kiri Te Kanawa singing the Strauss 'Four Last Songs'

but Bocelli and Mozart are my two favorites ---that would be great

11. Dame Kiri was marvelous in Mozart's Great Mass on an old
Time-Life "best of Mozart" type recordings. She really brings it in the "Laudamus Te."

5. Geez, I hope not. If you want to hear some great tenor singing of
Mozart, turn to Fritz Wunderlich, Nicolai Gedda or Anton Dermota.

You won't be sorry.

7. I've heard him live. The voice is small and lacking in power and
nuance without all of the knob-turning they do on his recordings.

He's excellent in the pop-oriented pieces, especially those written specifically for him to show off his instrument. He's dismal in opera. The voice is just not of a high enough calibre for the demands of opera...it's rather bland.
