5. not recently
i've had a ganglion cyst, just below the kneecap, for years. finally decided to do something about it, but it wasn't drainable, so they put me under and sliced it out.

4. Do you like it?
I've been Rx'ed Hydrocodone a few times in the past (after surgery, after wistom-teeth extraction) and I liked that it cut the pain, but I never slept easy on it. I would wake up every hour or so and never really get 'rested'....or even stoned enough to pass out, ya know (like Xanax...oooh yeah!)

Seriously, though, I think it's okay for pain, but I can't take it at night (often when I had the most pain) because it makes me sleep kooky.

And it gives me vivid freaky "am I awake or am I asleep" dreams ha ha!

Enjoy it, though! whee!

napped earlier, haven't tried to sleep through yet.

Have you ever tripped? You know the "movies" phenomena you sometimes get when you close your eyes? You get a little of that, not quite so intense, though. That's your 'am I awake or dreaming' phase, I guess.

It is pleasurable. I can see how some people have managed to become hooked on it, easily. Am already intent on 'underdosing' for that reason.

9. Let me be honest with you
about 'underdosing'---

A while ago I had a really bad back problem and was on numerous pain killers (Tylenol w/codine, Darvocet, Percocet, Hydrocodone---all at once). I didn't like it---I had to work, I had to function, and it's a real pain feeling like you've been drug through the dirt every day. You're either in pain or you're sleeping....it's great if you're hanging out with friends and getting stoned on Vallium, but it's another to be on multiple pain meds at 9am on a Tuesday, at work, having to function.

Anyways---

If you're taking this as an Rx (as opposed to recreationally), don't underdose yourself. I did (tried) that, and it doesn't do anything but make you take MORE later on when the pain isn't cut by 1/2 Oxycodone. And I've taken them for as short of time as 3 days, and I've taken it for as long as 3 months daily, and I have to say that I went through a moderate amount of withdrawl after each. Not heavy or anything unbearable, but I definitely felt different, felt cranky, felt restless, listless.....and my Dr confirmed that I was experiencing withdrawl :scared:

Take your meds like you need to, in the doseages provided. If you feel you're getting too stoned to function, tell your Doc and have them adjust the meds---don't go regulatin' your meds on your own :)

Sincerely

Heather, who starts nursing school this September :)

10. kk
I'm not in any pain atm; I took one about 5 & 1/2 hours ago. Rx says 1-2 every 4-6 hours. I didn't count the pills, but it looks like there's a dozen to a dozen & a half in the bottle.
