Leaving for the UAE Wednesday-- Ask me Anything

Yep, the big day is Wednesday evening. We get on a KLM flight and about 22 hrs. later we will be in the United Arab Emirates.



I will be taking a University position teaching Writing and Literature with the American University of Sharjah (pictured above).

I have mixed feelings about becoming an economic expat, but I will always vote (if they count it in Florida) and will always be a faithful DUer. I have been lurking here since day 1 and have been a poster since March of 2001...

The move will force me to be offline until I get setup with my new computer in Sharjah. The good news is I will have a T1 line in my villa... :) The campus is also completely setup for wifi access.

I look forward to be back with DU within about 2 weeks.

I got it figured out I looked around your site it will be nice to check it and see how you all are...try to relax I know it's exciting and the waiting is a killer but not long now! ...:-)

It makes me squirm to think about it... OUCH!

just the bottom braces next...this week was bands couldn't do it yet, the braces get put in this Wednesday!
