My husband got a job!
I just had to share. He lost his job in February and we haven't been getting any unemployment (bastards). Basically, we have been living off of what meager savings we had, our not-so-great tax refund and the oh-so-generous $100/mo disability payment he gets from the VA. But that money has ran out, we're getting way behind on our bills and I was at the verge of a nervous breakdown. Long, long story - but we've been there, done it with money trouble in the past, including a bankruptcy a couple of years ago, so it was wicked stressful.

Fortunately, he finally landed a job that's been stringing him on for weeks and started today! I am SO RELIEVED! I just hope that we're able to catch up on everything quickly and go back to some sort of normalcy soon.

3. I am very glad
I am very glad these lyrics do not apply to your life. I applaud you.

LOSING OUR JOB

It's just a job that fell through
I'm sure that you will find another
I'll make a special dinner tonight
Don't worry darling it'll be alright

I don't believe these words I'm singing
It doesn't sound like truth to me
our love is gone but we're still clinging
To the way it used to be

These times are hard for everybody
I read the paper I see the news
Something will give and make it better
We're gonna work it out not gonna lose

I don't believe these words I'm singing
It doesn't sound like truth to me
Our love is gone but we~re still clinging
To the way it used to be

If it is any comfort at all, I know how it is.

It just drives you CRAZY.

Good times, bad times, it's all just part of the big picture.

No kidding, I wish you 2 the very best.

6. Thanks everyone!
It IS such a relief! :bounce:

Now we just have to hope we can catch up on our bills before they repo our car and evict us and all that jazz. *trying to think positive*

7. Terrific! Glad to hear it.
Unfortunately, I may be losing my job soon, but my employer's human resources director advised me that the company would *not* contest my claim for unemployment benefits. I didn't think they would, but I wanted to know for certain, so I asked her.
