2. the book is SO much better than the movie
imo. In the movie, I felt that Jack Nicholson was playing someone who was....evil and mean. In the book, I felt that Jack Torrance was a good guy who went CRAZY and evil took over him.

I don't know---I just can't picture Shelly Duvall OR Jack Nicholson as those characters.

Book scares the shit out of me too!
