1. You can kill a person, an animal, or a plant.
You cannot, by definition, kill a life, so far as I know. Ugh.

3. I agree
I'm thoroughly embarrassed by a president who can't even speak the language of the country he's supposed to be presiding over. I've met a boatload of foreigners who speak better English!! Yeesh.

9. Life is a tricky thing
You kill things every day you live. Lots of things. Directly and indirectly. You survive at the expense of other living things. This is simply the nature of life.

The real question here is about identity. If you squashed a singular cell from someone else you would have destroyed human life. But you would not have killed a person. A person is a complex organization of cells and structures working together and giving rise to an identity that only exists as the active end of this convoluted process.

Here is one more philosophical puzzle to toy with. Why is fire not alive?

10. A few direction challenged squirrells
It was an accident.... you know how they run out then act like they don't remember where they were going?.... well, I've "taken out" quite a few that way.

11. Squirrel defenses
are designed for carnivores pursuing them. Thus the sudden stops and reversals can quickly exasterbate a pursuer. Not much of a defense against a big pile of metal just passing through.

12. Wanna know about armadillos?
They are near sighted and fairly deaf.
When startled, they jump.
Just about as high as a car bumper.
