Is "Friends" copying "Sex and the City" for their final season & episode

I haven't watched Friends in years but I absolutely ADORE Sex and the City. To kill time before I leave work, I went to NBC and checked out the episode guide for season 10 thinking I might watch the final episode.

And I was SHOCKED!!!

Everything that Friends is doing is a ripoff of what Sex and the City has already done

Monica & Chandler want to adopt a baby in Friends - Charlotte and Harry went through the same stuff in SATC. My guess is Monica & Chandler's adoption will go through in the final episode

Monica & Chandler are looking to move to the Suburbs - so did Miranda in the last year

Carrie had an opportunity to move to Paris, despite her friends begging her not to do so. Now I see Rachel is thinking of moving to Paris and I'm sure her friends don't want her to go.

I'm really glad I spent the 5 minutes to read those episode guides because I can just re-watch SATC reruns and know exactly what will happen on the Friends finale.


No wonder HBO does television better than network TV

I'll catch a rerun once in a while.

But it sure sounds like you have something there. THe storylines appear very similar.

If a Russian dancer shows up we'll know for sure!
