I'm having a hard time actually finding threads where I posted!!

I'm a lib who thinks Nader and Kuchinich type libs are killing our party.

I'm a lib who doesn't approve of being shady liek conservatives just because they are. I expect us to prove why we ar enot conservatives.

I'm a lib who thinks we need to offer America many more ideas and more hope and less Bush bashing.

Universal healthcare, increasing the min wage, introducing national discourse on religion, fear of the religious right and Islamic terrorism are my main concerns. Followed by the deficit and social security.

Up until now I have posted on the free/open Chris Matthews forum becaus eit includes conservatives and sometimes it's good to debate them and yes, try to convert them.

It's too bad nobody bothers to find out what his possitions are. They let him get defined as a fringe candidate by the media.

1. Who did you support in the primaries, and why?

2. The items you listed as your concerns (univ health care, etc...) I'm curious what you mean by "concerns." Are these things you are for or against.

3. What do you like to do in real life? ;)

may I suggest a few things that may help.

On the top of the main "Forum" page there is an icon named "My Posts" which will show you all of your posts for the last 24 hours. You can see if anyone has responed to you there.

We offer a spell checker at the bottom of the "post" window, it comes in real handy for those of us who think faster than they can type :)

And I am very familiar with all his positions. I have been a Nation subscriber for years.

HE just doesn't help the cause of getting rid of Bush and the Christian conservative influence over govt.

a real universal health care plan-- national single payer insurance? You say you care about that, but you also hate kucinich. Big friend to labor, too-- he's okay by me. And on Mars? Maybe for mainstream American politics-- but in Europe he'd be considered mildly progressive. Maybe that's the problem with this country, that the center has moved too far to the right and too many people are under the mistaken delusion that there's no hope of ever moving the center to the left (it wasn't always that way in this country).

Kucinich may be ahead of his time, but that's no reason to say he's ruining the Party, the country may just not be ready for him yet. But, as I've always the main thing the conservatives have over liberals nowadays is vision-- I think most Dems think too short-term and it's killing them in the long run.

and how, pray tell, are they (we) killing a party that does not hear a word they are saying. I voted for Nader in 2000, and I voted for Kucinich in the CA primary in March. I agree with almost everything they have to say on issues.

I believe if Nader was Kerry's spokesperson rather than his opposition, Kerry would be getting a much more powerful message across.

These guys are telling the truth. How long do you think we will have to wait until folks are ready to face the truth?

I have to disagree with you, though.

Dennis Kucinich is the only politician in my lifetime I've ever voted FOR instead of choosing the least offensive option between poor choices. I'll vote for him anytime and anywhere he shows up on my ballot.

You won't find a stauncher champion of universal healthcare, a living wage, or social security.
