I just came back from a trip to my mother's...and I'm scared.

I probably shouldn't have gone out today. I'm feeling vulnerable and easily triggered. But my mother's computer needed fixing, so out I went.

My car is parked between one that declares, "God Bless America" and another that asks, "got Jesus? It's hell without him." I back-handed my way into my own car and promptly pulled behind a truck with a Bush/Cheney sticker on it and a car with a xtian fishy eating a Darwin fishy.

When I got to my mother's house, someone on Faux News was going on and on about Saddam's mass graves. I couldn't keep my mouth shut and said that Americans had filled a soccer field with dead Iraqis a few weeks ago. I don't think my mother was pleased. I had to grab something to eat, only to find a picture of * next to the microwave. Goddammit! I actually felt nauseous and had to hide his butt-ugly face before my lunch ended up on the kitchen linoleum.

When I finally got my mother's computer to boot, guess what came up as the home page on Internet Explorer? The Drudge Report. :puke:

I almost left right then. I feel like I've been through a wringer.

Could I please get out of this town and away from my freeper family? Please????

4. If it makes you feel any better, I saw 2 Kerry stickers today on
my way to work, and I saw a sticker that from a distance looked to be freepish, but upon closer examination it said in Red White and Blue: Friends don't let Friends Vote Republican. Very nice.

I thank God my mom and dad are both very liberal. :) We always talk about how much republicans are assholes and how Bush should be impeached. My mom does, however, have her homepage set to the Drudge Report. :puke: She said his news is always updated, and usually before cnn.

Oh, btw, she also thinks Matt is gay.

raised me to be liberal, now she is VICIOUS in her devotion and defense of Bush and his merry band.

It's like this huge cruel streak has developed from listening to all this crap on AM radio since she retired. Did I mention she foams at the mouth at the mention of Bill Clinton?

Her webtv "favorites" include: Lucianne, Drudge, Newsmax, Drudge, Wall Street Journal Opinion page, etc. etc.

I swear, it's a sickness

8. It might be something that happens with age.
My parents are getting like that, too. They were always Democrats, and liberal. My dad is a big union man.

They also got born-again. My dad is worse about it than my mom.

They still vote Dem, but I worry.

They are getting older, facing their mortality, and perhaps they need DEFINITE ANSWERS. The fundies and the repukes provide both.
