President George W. Bush said Thursday he had told Jordan's King Abdullah II that he was 'sorry' for the abuse of Iraqi prisoners by US soldiers and vowed to punish those responsible... Developing...

2. It took him long enough.
This guy always has to be forced to do the right thing, and it's always too late. Wasn't he on "Arabic" TV yesterday? Why didn't he say it then? It's only after being raked over the coals for NOT apologizing that he finally apologizes, and even then it's only half-hearted.
