I found the most interesting picture in Joe Wilson's new book
I love the photo sections of books and Joe Wilson has a doozy

It's a picture of Wilson along with Senators Richard Shelby, Arlen Spector and a few other politicos standing with Saddam Hussein. This was taken back in 1988 and I guess they wanted to meet with Saddam to see how he could help out with the Middle East peace process.

But the bizarre thing about this picture:

Richard Shelby was standing next to Saddam Hussein and HOLDING HUSSEINS HAND

I'm not kidding - just like boyfriend/girlfriend

I can't find the picture on the net, but if you see Joe Wilson's book in the stores - check out the photo section. Your mouth will drop when you see it.

For the record - I think Shelby was technically a democrat back then although he was kinda like Zell Miller

1. Is this book good?
It received a decent review in "The Orlando Sentinel". Wilson was here at UCF in November and I was very impressed.

4. No idea
But Joe Wilson has been graet on the talk show circuit and I wanted to give him my support. Right now I'm about 10 books deep until I'll get near it but it's nice to have

6. Just read J. Deans..5 star IMO

It is very easy to read and understand.
He clearly states the reasons why * and his thugs were in deeper than Nixon.
Wilson's book is next on my list.

7. I just got back from the book store and saw exactly the photo
you are talking about. Very strange. I liked the photos where Wilson was in the Oval Office briefing Clinton. Now those were the good old days where we actually had someone with a brain in the Whitehouse.

8. I believe it's a culture thing
In the Middle East, two men holding hands isn't unusual.

10. Yeah. Wilson talked about it on c-span this a.m.
Quipped that Shelby was a dem at the time, so maybe it was OK.
Shelby changed parties half way through his first term, which I think is pretty shitty.

Stay in the party that elected you and change for the next election.
Chickenshit.

9. Speaking as an Alabamian...
Shelby has always been a republican... no matter what he called himself.

The Zell Miller comparison is apt...
