3. But, I don't know. If you ask me, I think we are harping on that word
torture. Is it torture? I don't know. Do I want to know? I don't know. But do you think I am hungry, you bet.

Is it annoying?

You bet.

5. One thing you have to understand,
is that it's very difficult to talk like Donald Rumsfeld. I know...I don't think...it's possible to copy...or mimic my voice. Copying my voice is not an exact science. We have to act on the information...which is not perfect...that tells us how to mimic Don Rumsfeld.

6. Have we lost over 700 soldiers in Iraq?
I'll have to check those numbers.

Have we created chaos in Iraq?
Look, in any war, there's going to be some untidyness.

9. This is one of the funniest threads I've read in a long time.
Thanks.

I may contribute to a "Are we going to talk like George W. Bush in this thread" thread.

11. I don't undersand why DU'ers see it necessary to have these threads.
Do we all know that Rummy speaks rhetorically and in circles? Of course. Who is it that didn't already know this? Where are they? What have they been smoking? How do we know that each of these opsts isn't the real Rumfilled? Is there a way to know for sure? Of course not? Am I an idiot for asking? Possibly so.

We must, for humor's sake, distribute these threads more strategically to maximize their impact on other DU'ers. It will be a long, hard, slog, but we knew this already. Did we tell you? No. Does it matter? No.

I prefer Dr. Strangefeld myself, but that's a good one, too.

13. Rummyyoufuckingpoet.
Is talking like Rummy gratifying?
I wonder. I sincerely do.
Will lives be saved as a result?
Not sure. We'll get back to you on that.
One would hope so.
You know... I'd like to say more.
But I can't say more. Just can't do it.
More could be said. But not by me. Not at this time.
This is an issue for the president.
I think you've got your facts wrong.
No. No. I amend myself . It happens.
I KNOW you've got your facts wrong.
Get those facts right.
There are facts, and there are facts.
Is there a difference? You bet.
Now, let me say more about this.
But I'm not going to say any more.
It can't happen.
Not at this time.

14. Did I read this thread?
Edited on Thu May-06-04 05:58 PM by freeminder
No I didn't. Did I read it to the president? Of course not, it's too long. Will we summarize it into cryptospeak soundbites for the masses? As always; is Karl Rove close by? Under my desk. Is this an actionable thread for Agent Mike? That depends on the definition of actionable, which I do not recollect at this time.

16. Freedom is messy
and being messy causes our soldiers to commit hienous acts of torture.

thereby, freedom is torture.

17. Is that why they hate us for our freedom?
Yep. They have become addicted to torture under Saddam, and now they want our freedom. In Baghdad? Yep. And north, south and west of there.
I'll get back to you on that.
