Okay, does anyone like Hawaiian music?
I must admit that the last time we visited the beautiful islands of Hawaii, I started to really enjoy the music. It's soothing and lovely, and reminds me of the sunshine and the plumeria-scented air of Maui...plus, even on the worst, darkest, rainiest Pacific Northwest day, it makes me want to hula.

If you want to listen to an online station (while taking an AirAm break,) I just found this one in "Islands" magazine: www.breezeofhawaii.com.

Julie
could use a few weeks on the beaches of Maui right now

5. Reminds Me of Home
We have about a dozen CD's, and I play a few when I get homesick, or sometimes just to listen.

You've likely heard his rendition of "Beautiful World/Over the Rainbow," but consider picking up one of his CD's for more...Sadly he died quite young of heart disease.

8. I have heard him.
Each time we visit. Soothing music, beautiful people. The place I would most like to spend the rest of my life.

10. Hawaiian music has evolved far beyond the Don Ho stage
IZ, of course, being the prime example; another is Maui's Keali'i Reichel.

Thanks to the magic of streaming, you can now listen to the same signal heard here in town:

Plus, morning jock Brickwood (afternoon for you mainland types) is running for our state Dem party chairmanship! Can your maorning jock say that?
