OK. So I'm drunk, right?

and my friend brings this new girl with him to the bar, while I'm sipping on my fourth Summit Great Northern Porter (GNP,) when he turns to me and says, "Hey, dude, this girl is a Republican. You should talk to her."

So I do.

Question:

Why are you a Republican?


Answer:

Well. What do you mean? (I clarify my already crystal clear question...) OH! well. I don't know. My parents are.

Question:

Well, that's fine and well, but have you looked at Bush and decided to vote for him?

Answer:

Well, no, I haven't really looked at what he is saying, but I will be voting for him.

Question:

How could you do that as a college student with a brother in the military?

Answer:

Why wouldn't I?

This conversation went on about 30 minutes more, before my the woman in question "went to the bathroom" wherein she told my friend that I had insulted her.

After explaining to my friend how I had "insulted" her, he ditched and we are now at his place having a few drinks.

What the hell is up with this shit?
What the hell is wrong with people?
