3. It was yesterday
Yeah, they canned the only guy that turned the club around....they have the most season tickets sold in Canuck history, they also have the best team ever...yet, they can burke because he talks back to the Upper upper management... he's gonna go to Boston now, kiss the last four years of Canuck awsomeness goodbye,.... I'm worried they will sell the team to some yank who will move em..Vancouver couldn't take that bedlam would break out.

But Nonis admitted he struggled with the decision this week when Canuck owners asked him take over the job of general manager from Brian Burke. "I spent the last couple of nights with Brian," Nonis told a news conference at GM Place Thursday where he was officially introduced as the Canucks ninth general manager.

"The person who was most positive was Brian. Without his blessings I couldn't have gone forward with it.

4. I half think Burke wants to leave
He is from Boston, that's where his family is. And I bet he asked for a shitload of cash on purpose to go there. I don't know, but this sucks

12. Well, it's sick - but at leas they didn't KILL hte guy - as the Canadian..
Forces did...
Chances in November..not much... people watch too much TV and will think "Good that' what they deserve. However I look at it from the positive... Clinton won, so there are swing votes...Dole is by NO means as bad as Bush..so Ithink no matter what Kerry is in.

8. Did you really like Burke that much?
Always seemed like a pompous guy to me. On the other hand, anyone would be better than my boy Sather.
