Queer Eye for the Straight Guy in the UK
So it's finally here. The UK version of the show that broke records in the USA will be revealed tonight on Living TV, and it's been a drawn out process waiting for the new Fab Five to emerge.
While the channel was keen to hype up the UK contenders for the reality TV throne last year, all seemed to go quiet before it emerged that the whole team had been binned for straying too far from the US formula.

And now, the team have become household names stateside, as well as key members of the network's ratings grabbing schedule.
But can the UK team cut it? Well, on the first show (screened Thursday 6th May at 9pm) they certainly hold their own, even if they miss the immediate warmth and glamour of their US counterparts. But this does improve within the hour, as they work on this week's victim Terry Frisby's wardrobe, cleanliness and interior design skills - supposedly in a way only a gay man can - and inject bitchy humour and hyperactivity into his slobbish life.
