To all my friends of DU, especially my fellow lounge lizards: I'm sorry...
....I'm sorry I started that thread about "post something nice about West Virginia".

Not that it was a horrible subject - it was very much needed because West Virginia, the home of the wonderful Senator Robert Byrd, was getting slammed in General Discussion because that female soldier in the abuse pictures was also from that state.

I have no regret starting my thread in the fact that I was cheering up some folks from West Virginia.

HOWEVER....

I apologize because now we will have 50+ other threads that will basically ask you to post something nice about other states

I've started a massive onslaught of mememememeing

I'm sorry

(edit note: I say that because I was born in crank producing, Klan Country Pennsylvania - Perry Country. They still have Klan meetings at our local state park once a year)

12. Perry's kinda out of the Klan biz.....
but York has regular visits! Perry's now a hotspot bedroom community for Harrisburg and the West Shore.... though parts of it are still pretty... uh... ruralistic. Those of us on the other side of the mountain (Cumberland) keep a wary eye on what might come over the ridge.

I know, he gives a good anti-war speech but I can recall him on the senate floor waving his bible screeching about gays during the Defense of Marraige Act.
