Aaaaah! 12 hour fasting sucks!!!
I've been on a 12 hour fast since yesterday for a deries of blood tests I'm having today...No food, no coffee...I'm gonna fall asleep right here on the keyboard! I'd better get going to the hospital before I break down and start sneaking potato chips. :P

For all interested, I'll be having a CBC, Chem 12 Panel, Lipid Profile, and Thyroid Profile. Woo hoo!

2. 12 hours isn't so bad...
compared to the 24 or so hours and the gallon of pineapple stuff you have to drink prior to another test we all need at a certain point in life.

Last time, I had it done at the VA hospital. So, nothing solid after noon the day before,and nothing else to drink after midnight. Pretty hungry at 8AM when I get there. What do you know-- the VFW had a free coffee and donut stand set up right by the front door when I walked in!

When it's all over around 2PM, the cafeteria's closed.

(I was reminded at some point that there are plenty of people around the world who regularly go 24 hours, and more, without food.)
