I just bought Inktec: easy to do, but it won't print, even after several tries.

Anyone have any success with these refill kits?

1. Those things are a waste of money...

... I've tried 3 different brands for my HP DeskJet. I think Inktec was one of them.

Have you considered buying refurbished cartridges? I've had nothing but success with PrintPal...

2. What brand printer/cartridge do you have.

Some newer Epson cartridges have a chip that needs to be reset before it can be reused.

On Edit: I have used "Universal Inkjet Refill Kit" from Meijer or WalMart. Also bought a kit from a computer show (no brand name), and have had pretty good success on Lexmark cartridges (up to 4 or 5 refills/cartridge).

3. HP printer/ HP20 cartridges
Several people have told me that these kits work beautifully! I wonder if they're lying.

I'm now soaking the cartridge in warm water.

6. it is recommended that you not use the refill kits or generic inks..
they are of inferior quality, and will clog up your nozzles. Best just to bite the bullet, and buy the OEM inks.
