Who Was President When You Got Married?
For our married DU-ers, and those in committed relationships.

For me, I married wife #1 in August of 1974, a few weeks after Ford took office.

I married #2 in October of 1983, the day the Marine barracks were bombed in Beirut - Reagan was in office.

And I married the lovely Mrs. CO Liberal in February of 1992, when Bill Clinton was still in office and the country was in good hands.

2. I think it was James K. Polk...............................
It feels like we've been married at least that long.

In reality, it was Ol' 666 himself, Ronald Wilson Reagan.

4. Bush I (1990)
The personal ad I posted through which I met my husband started-- "Another Republican President Has Just Been Elected. . .. but this spirited, pretty woman, 37, refuses to get depressed!"
