What's your favorite cruising song(s)?
Edited on Fri May-07-04 01:13 PM by Angelus
Well everyone, summer is almost upon us. It's time to think about what songs we like to listen to while we're out cruising the highways.

Me, I like Limp Bizkit - Rollin' (Don't flame me for that), Golden Earrings - Radar Love, Eminem - Without Me, The Ataris - Boys of Summer, Rob Zombie - Never Gonna Stop Me, Rob Zombie - Feel So Numb, Metallica - Fuel, and I know there's a couple others, but I can't think of them at the moment.

What's your favorite cruising song(s)?

Others: Eminem - Still Don't Give a Fuck, Godsmack - Awake, and anything by Daft Punk.

over and over and over and over and over... It was 1989.

"She drives me crazy."

5. Used to love Tom Petty's "Running Down a Dream"
But it ruined it as a cruising song when I totalled my car to it on the I-10 Pecos River Bridge at 2:00AM trying to dodge a friggin' porcupine.

So now, Dire Straights's "Money for Nothing" (Yes, I do still like it), anything from Jim Steinman's Pandora's Box, but especially "Good Girls go to Heaven," Nelly's "Air Force Ones," and of course, Wagner.

Prius's have horrible stereos, though, so this summer won't be quite as fun.

12. Tom Petty does make some pretty good cruising music
shame about your car. Although a Prius sounds great. How do you like it? WOuld be too small for my family, but I know they makes larger Honda hybrids as well.

6. On the Street Where You Live.
It was 1957. I had a torch red '55 Ford convertible. I was too shy to outrightly ask a young lady out. I kept driving by her house in the hope she'd be outside and I could just happen to be there and we could strike up a conversation and that would lead to the magic I longed for. It never happened.

Now I have a Mustang convert and I play Beethoven. It's too late for drive-bys, though.

9. She Sells Sanctuary, Enter Sandman, In A World Gone Mad
She Sells Sanctuary by The Cult is probably my all-time favorite, but also Enter Sandman and Fuel by Metallica, and more recently, In A World Gone Mad by the Beastie Boys.

11. HOT ROD LINCOLN
"Son, you're gonna drive me to drinkin',
If you don't stop drivin' that Hot Rod Lincoln."

Rockabilly song. I can't remember who did the 'original'. Commander Cody and the Lost Planet Airmen did a remake in the late '60s/early '70s...
