I also don't care how much money a person makes,

I care how they treat other people. I know some wealthy people who are kind, generous and grateful for their good lives. What I have trouble with are the selfish, cold, uncaring people, rich or poor.
I was recently sickened to find out about a situation close to home.
A brother & a sister, both in their mid 60s. The sister lost her husband to cancer a few years ago and because of her own health issue cannot work. She was able to keep her home because of her daughter was living there and paying most of the bills. Well her daughter gets cancer & dies. Now this woman will probably lose her home. The brother, who has more money than God, asked his daughter-in-law if he should send money or flowers to the family. When my friend told me this, we were both blown away. How could anyone look at a family member in that kind of situation, through no fault of their own I might add, and not do everything in their power to help? They cannot even be there emotionally because they have a 6 week cruise scheduled, they have a suite you know. This is what I cannot stand, or understand.

I don't see what caring has to do with socialist leanings

people should share their good fortune with other who have less.
And that people should care about the good of the sociaty as a whole, not just what's in it for them.
