There's little love for Kerry on the GD board today.
I think some DUers hate Kerry as much as they do Bush. Go figure.

and Kerry rubbed me the wrong way at first, but I like him now. I just wish he would tell his handlers to fuck off and GO FOR THE JUGULAR!

6. I don't know if they are Naderites or Deaniacs but they hate Kerry.
Seems that Kerry is just Bush-lite and a Bush enabler. Damn that SOB Kerry for not being more likable like Ralph or Howard.

10. no, just a vertebrate congress critter during the Bush years...
...would be enough. Kerry's simply lurching along in Bush's wake.

15. What's the gist of the beef dems have?
I'm guessing his support of Isreal, his tax cuts in time of record deficits, and what else?

I, for one, and looking to him for a more balanced Iraq policy, better environmental and energy plans, and enforcement of our current laws. Also, we need to send aclear message to the world that we aren't all Republican thugs here in this coutry, preemptively starting wars and thumbing our nose at planetary civillization.

Kerry won't pull us out of half a dozen global treaties covering small arms, mines, nuclear weapons, global warming, war crimes, nuclear testing, and god knows what else.

16. It's about as irrelevant as those minority leaders that claim
that Kerry doesn't appeal to them enough.

As if the majority of minorities are going to vote for Bush in protest. :eyes:

18. Too many threads asking how "republican" people are
I try to get Kerry to go more to the left. Especially about Iraq and the Patriot Act. But I'll be damned if I'll ever go republican.

20. Quick to tell us how "bad" Kerry is, but rather silent on the alternatives
I really think most of these "lefties" are doing RNC work on the board. They seem intelligent enough to know that Kerry needs to appeal to the center to get elected. But they persist in telling us he's not "left" enough for their vote. Yet they know damn well that the other options are: Bush or Nader (Bush).

I can only conclude they want Bush to win.

They'll be bitterly disappointed when John Kerry becomes #44 next November. But it can't happen soon enough.

26. I agree. I think Kerry's voice is lost in the chaos of what is going on
in the world. He doesn't have the access to the media that Bush and his enablers have.

24. I don't think much of him...
Again, in 2004, my choice is to vote for priviledged millionaire #1 or priviledged millionaire #2. Both Bush and Kerry were Skull & Bones men, both were born into wealth. Kerry, at least, served honorably in Viet Nam and achieved something on his own. I'm sorry, but Kerry doesn't get me that enthused. He's been a lackluster senator with a spotty voting record on issues that affect American workers. The only issue motivating me to show marginal support is my hatred of Bush.

25. Well, at least we agree on Bush.
Kerry's wealth doesn't bother me. It is not his fault he was born into it (although he did marry into a bit more of it). I am a little concerned that his campaign seems to be a bit bogged down now- perhaps because all the news is on the Iraq prison torture. I hope Kerry is able to come on strong in the next month or so and show us that he is going to be a much better President. I believe Kerry will rise to the occasion- perhaps summon some of that magic he had in the early 1970s.
