1. Not in this lifetime
Two reasons:

1) Buying a pre-built computer means you don't get the best parts available. And if you ask for premium parts, you'll pay a premium price.

2) It doesn't look like they offer AMD processors. Intel processors suck.

You'll always come out ahead if you buy the parts and put it together yourself.

2. Okay. I'll support the unions every chance I get...
...and my computer will have to be "off the shelf" because I don't know how to build one.

5. Don't you have any techie friends?
I build computers for friends all the time.

My asking price?

A home cooked meal.

3. Though I prefer the Athlon and Athlon-64,
I'm amazed at what the Centrino can do, given its performance compared to a much faster Mhz-rated Pentium-4. They should replace the Pentium-4 rubbish with the Centrino for their desktops.

AMD is still better though...

4. Centrino not available for desktops
And I read an article today where Micro$oft is dropping production of a desktop version in favor of a new generation processor which will have two processors built into one.

7. We can do that
We can do AMDs. The vast majority of our clients want Intel, for whatever reasons.

Also, we try to use top-quality parts for our units, but we can also customize to whatever is desired for power users who want to spec it out themselves.

6. Has anyone ever heard of Allied Computers, in Texas?
I was wondering if they are any good.
