CHICAGO on DVD today - prescient and relevant
The original stage play (before Fosse revamped it around Watergate) is what, 70 years old...and it's still relevant today.

Billy Flynn (Richard Gere's character) could just as well be the Chimp Administration, puppeting the media as easily as if they really were marionettes.

We'll be seeing the courtroom circus for months and months to come with the Kobe Bryant and Lacey Peterson attraction/distractions.

It's my favorite musical and a great movie translation...and a hell of a lot more entertaining than real life. My only bitch, as a former Chicago resident, is that none of it was shot there.
