Remember the early days of Comedy Central?
Back before it merged with the MTV Comedy channel? Wasn't Jon Stewart one of the early hosts? He'd appear with this woman (I'm sorry, but I don't know who she was) and they'd show bits from comedy movies or stand-ups? Totally low-rent show.

Jon Stewart and Patty Rosborough, I think. I believe she dropped out after having a child. Edit - I still use Patty's way of saying, "Coooooming up..."

4. Jon was so not into that gig on certain days
He'd appear on the live promos that told of their show coming up, and then suddenly he'd be gone. Same thing happened in the middle of some shows too. The Higgins Boys and Grubber (sp?) was also another fun show....as was the one with the guy who did the PI schtick.

Remember those old shorts with the dopey '50s kid? They would dub all the voices. Damn, I miss that show.

2. Ha! and Comedy Central
Remember when there were 2 comedy channels on cable? I do vaguely, but if I'm correct, I thought they merged into one network.

8. I remember when it used to have comedy - as in stand-up
and a heck of a lot of it. And I also remember "Taxe Tag", the MST3K special April 15 version, and the wonderful ads they had for it.
