As I was clearing some brush myself this morning, I had a thought:
george bush--v., intrans.,to clear brush despite clear warnings of imminent danger. "Even though I saw smoke coming from the house, I continued to george bush the back forty."
So then I thought, how will future generations use the phrase "george bush"? In the spirit of all those who have googled, roller bladed, called facial tissues "kleenex" and adhesive bandages "band-aids" here is my list. Feel free to add on, please!
george bush--v., trans., to rely on incompetent, unethical, or othewise questionable advisors. "Willie Nelson george bushed his accountant and in the end owed the IRS millions in back taxes and fines."
geoge bush--v., trans., to blame others for your mistakes; to pass the buck. "When my son watched TV all night and failed his algebra test the next day, he george bushed his math teacher." (see syn. to rumsfeld, ant. to harry s. truman)
george bush--v., trans., to apologize for a greivous act to an unrelated third party (n.b. usually denotes an insincere apology). "When my wife caught me sleeping with another woman, I george bushed my mechanic."
george bush--n., a smirking chimp. "I took my son to the zoo to see the george bush."
george bush--adj., unintelligent, smarmy, soulless, but pedigreed. "I can't believe that poodle won the dog show because it is really just george bush."
Have fun!
