Moms, does your mom send you a Mother's day card?
to say happy mother's day and thanks for making me a Grandma? My mom refuses to give me a card. She doesn't think she needs to. I know if my daughter has kids I am going to celebrate her motherhood and the joy she gave to me through my grandkids. It would come from my heart to her. What do you think?

PS HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all of you!

1. Same here Kira
My Mom only sees herself as a Mom - I'm just a pissant. :(

I give my daughter in law a card and this year I bought her a kid charm necklace with the birthstone's of my two beautiful rugrats, er I mean grandkiddies

Happy Mother's Day to all Mom's, Grandmom's and Mom's to be :loveya:

2. Thanks for sharing.
I wasn't sure if I was the only one who thought this was kind of selfish on her part. That sounds like a really special present, I know she'll love it.

3. Thanks
Why do you think they're like that? Do they resent us for performing the same 'miracle'.

5. Well, my mom likes to be the center of attention.
Always. So I think, she thinks, that Mother's Day is a day that she can "legitimately" ask for all of the attention. It's a really weird way to live. I just don't get it.

4. I received a card from my Mother-in-Law today.
She never misses an opportunity to send me a card and tell me how much she cares for me. She is very special to me.

My mom is unable to due to health problems, and even if her health wasn't an issue, I would probably only get a Mother's Day card once every few years or so.

Happy Mother's Day to all!

6. Actually, yes, she does.
But I think she started it as a pointed reminder that I have to do something for HER, too.
