Poll question: What is the caramelized carbonated sugary acidic water called?
I hate the variants, especially "fountain drink". Well, I've never seen Coca-Cola coming out of fountain, and if it did you'd see a loooooooong line going up to it...

I went to friggin Ohio and all they said was "pop"

They would ask me, do you want some "pop"?

I was like....

Why I oughta!......I'll give ya a "POP" alright.

My cousins in Ohio would always tell me that is was pop.

I would ask for soda, or coke.

They would get mad at me, and I would get mad at them.

It might be tonic. It might also be RC or some store-brand "cola." In my house, it's Caffeine Free Pepsi, and ONLY Caffeine Free Pepsi!

5. If you grew up in California like I did
those drinks, including the "un-cola," are known as "soft drinks." When I moved to the East Coast for awhile they made fun of me when I used that term. Sob! I'm still in therapy ...

Now I call it "soda."
