2. Yes, I Did
My Suzuki Swift died at 131,000 miles. So I got a 2002 Chevy S10 standard cab pickup - 4-cyl, 5-speed. Much nicer ride, and I'm getting almost 28MPG!!!!

3. Excellent!
I used to have a standard cab pickup (1990 Mazda). I never quite liked the lack of interior storage. If I ever get another truck, it'll have to be extended cab.

Of course, barring an accident, I'm driving my '94 Infiniti until the wheels fall off! :D

5. I Specifically Bought Something With a 4 and a 5-speed
I want to give Pretzelboy's buddies in the oil industry as little of my hard-earned money as possible.

6. I Drive A 1998 Chevy S-10
And a 1997 Concorde
And a 1996 Sebring

Only our truck is 4 cylinders and has a manual transmission... and had trouble with accelleration, especially on hills.

BUT for hauling trash to the dump and bringing home plywood and appliances from Home Depot... it gets the job done just fine.

7. The Only Time I Had Trouble With My Old Truck....
...was driving over Wolf Creek Pass. About 12,000 feet with lots of switchbacks. Did most of it shifting between second and third.

BTW, my previoous truck was a '96 Isuzu Hombre, which is the same basic truck as an S10.
