For example, when I posted about my impending house purchase, I used :scared: and :bounce: because I am excited and a little freaked out!

Is that the general consensus, then? I guess I've been misusing it to mean general hyperactivity, if so. Congratulations on your house, by the way. I was burning in hell when you posted about it. ;-)

5. I wouldn't say you've been misusing it.
It means different things to different people. I've aslo used :scared: to indicate that I am cold. Context is everything. Thanks for the congratulations. If you ever come to Austin, you have a place to stay.

6. I think it just means...
bouncy.... I get in bouncy moods sometimes, where I'm just kind of giggly and bouncing around my room, or in my chair. *shrug*

11. I think it represents
a person who has to use the restroom. Yes, I'm trying to get you banned. ;) In all seriousness, I think it's a celebratory smilie. Like "YAY!"

12. He represents Enthusiasm
the little green guy, at least to me. It usually means that the poster is not just happy about something but especially enthused. That's when I tend to use it. :bounce:
