Can I get a high five for my joke at the zoo yesterday?

We're in the Amphibian Exhibit looking at those hypnotic jellyfish in the black light tank. My friend starts to read the placard, which describes the central nervous system--no central brain, no feeling, and no real eyes, to which I say, loudly in an enclosed area full of people,

"No central brain, no feeling, and no real eyes? My God, they're Republicans?!"

But pray tell us what kind of reactions you got for that?

it was Mother's Day and tons of families, so just a couple muted "harumph's."

HI FIVER!

So there I am at the Zoo with my girlfriend (aka Da Bunny). We are having a good time of it when we come upon the Rhino exhibit. Inside the Rhino exhibit is a large grey medicine ball that the Rhino gets to play with. Me being the mischievous imp that I am look at the Rhino, then at the ball, and then at all the people gathered around. I then point at the ball and say "Hey! Look at the Rhino EGG!"

Instanly all the kids standing in the immediate area are locked onto the ball. They beging calling to their parents to come see the Rhino egg. Of course this gets other peoples attention in the area and more kids come running to see the Rhino egg. There was soon a growing zone of people rushing to see the Rhino egg. Behold the power of silliness.

I found it amazing, while wandering through the butterfly exhibit, that some people actually believed that there were carniverous butterfiles loose in the exhibit.
