Next to Hate Radio, what is your biggest radio pet peeve?
I'd have to say I really hate Morning Zoos. Supposedly wacky trios riffing on Survivor and the size of J. Lo's butt. The reason I listen to Howard, who I often find creepy, is that at least I don't have to hear with a majorly affected voice describe last night's episode of CSI before kicking it to "Mudflap" for the Rock Report.
This is truly the dumbing down of America. There used to be some great radio in this time slot, but this garbage is on everywhere pushing anything good off the air. It is cheap programing. Why hire a local host when this swill will do. Corporate media sucks again.
I rarely listen to music radio because I can't stand them. I need to put a CD player in my car for music. I listen primarily to NPR & the local news channel -- but even that, WTOP, has too many commercials. They're extremely annoying.
for sheer awfulness nothing beats ads for radio stations on TV. I've never once seen a radio station that had the faintest idea of how to advertise on television.
16. Trip give aways---like the current DisneyWorld one-on our local
breakfast club station, that make it sound like he can win to my 5 year old son. He's been wigging out about it since last week and I really want to throttle them for leading him on. :(
whether it is one that I spit upon with contempt ("American Idol," "Survivor") or one that I like ("24," "Law & Order"). No matter which one you pick, half your audience or less will have seen it.
