Bicycle! Bicycle!
Edited on Mon May-10-04 02:13 PM by JonathanChance
Well, I tried out a used bike today. Took it for a nice liesurley 6 mile run around Marinette. Halfway decent, the rear brakes need a lot of adjusting (I had to practiaclly squees the handle all the way just for the brakes to make contect woth the wheel.) It shifted ok, and it nees reflectors, but I liked it, and I think it will serve me well when I move to Stevens Point. I have not gone on a bike ride like that since I was a kid, and boy, did it feel good! My legs are a little sore, but I'm happy.

EDIT: A pre-emptive apology to all fo those who now have Queen's Bicycle song stuck in their heads.

7. Hey, at least it's a halfway decent song to get stuck in your head.
End of Line.

10. You put a different song in my head...
Daisy, Daisy,
Give me your answer do!
I'm half crazy,
All for the love of you!
It won't be a stylish marriage,
I can't afford a carriage
But you'll look sweet upon the seat
Of a bicycle made for two.

(OK, I'm a 2001 fan...)

12. I picked up my new bike this evening.
OY! It has been A LOOOOOOONG time since I have ridden an upright. I have one of these:

but it does not fit on the bus bike rack, so I cannot take it to work. It's too far from the metrolink (light rail) stop to ride to work.

So, I purchased another upright. I rode it for the first time tonight. Oy does it hurt in the most tender of spaces!
