Police Scanners - anybody listen regularly?

I haven't yet, but may one day. I happened to be at the local police station today (being fingerprinted for employment purposes), and over the dispatcher's radio came a call for a police officer because an elderly lady had a snake in her yard. I thought this was hilarious. Of course, that could just be my personal sense of humor.

For those that have listened to these scanners, any good stories to tell?
