Family Watches As 80 Year Old Grandma Skydives

HURRICANE, Utah -- She's a daredevil grandma with a wild streak.

MaryLouise Carney, 80, went skydiving over the weekend in Hurricane.

Family and friends were on hand to watch her float to the ground with a parachute and tandem instructor strapped to her. Even though the pair landed in a prickly ditch a few yards from their intended target, Carney said the trip from eleven-thousand feet was amazing.

Carney got the idea five years ago. Family members got Carney a gift certificate for her 80th birthday in January.

OK, if I live to be 80, I'll go skydiving and figure out how to make a political statement at the same time.

I've really liked the people who have died and left messages against Bush in their obituaries and donated a portion of their estates to fighting "whistle ass."
