Poll question: BEATLES FANS: Do you have a least favorite Beatles album?
I'm sure we all have our rank of personal favorites. But what is your least favorite? For me, it used to be For Sale. But I put it on last week since I hadn't listened to it since last year. Now I really enjoy the mix of standards and originals. By default, that now makes Let It Be my least favorite.

Note: I do not consider anything post 1970 to be considered a Beatles album. No Past Masters, no Anthologies, no Naked albums.

1. "Magical Mystery Tour"

Even the "good" side of "Yellow Submarine" had "Hey Bulldog" and "It's All Too Much" to commend it.

on edit: oops - I didn't see that listed as a choice, so picked "Other" instead.

"Hey Bulldog" is one of the top 10 best songs in their entire catalog, IMO.

3. "Let it Be" in context of the breakup is pretty depressing...
...not to mention Phil Spector's florid overproduction :puke: Some good parts, but...

And you didn't mention the White Album ("The Beatles"); although I like that one a lot.

11. "Revolver"
Without a doubt the best damn album ever. Beautifully written songs and very tight production, the Bealtes at their creative peak.

9. Used to be "Let It Be"
But they finally got rid of all the crap Phil Specter put in the mix, now it's great.

10. Definately MMT.
A soundtrack album thrown together in a fashion that would catch on like wildfire with soundtrack albums 20 years later.

The first three albums take on a new, clearer resonance with me as time goes on--for all my love of the boys, I swear "She Loves Me" sounds a lot more timeless than "Sgt. Pepper" all these years later. They were also a more cohesive group in the yeahyeahyeah days, as opposed to later stuff, where it was essentially each guy recording his song with a back-up band.
