Poll question: Cheesecake: What's Your Favorite Kind?
Well now, there's the ricotta cheese cake which MY family makes... and it rocks.

Then there's the cream cheesecakes which are sort of apocryphal IMO.

Strawberries are terrific toppings though not necessary. Please just don't overdo it with the fruit.

10. North Arlington, New Jersey
I have eaten cheesecake up and down the East Coast- I must say I even make a great one myself. But by far, the finest, most luscious, smoothest, creamiest cheesecake is made at the North Arlington Diner in North Arlington, New Jersey. I don't know what the hell they do to it but it is truly amazing. Of course you can get it with or without fruit.---

This is the arm-hole of NJ -but if you do happen to be close by it is well worth the trip

29. isn't there one option missing?
;-)
What about Quark? (no, not Star Trek and certainly not a Publishing tool)

As for the other options: I did not try as many Cheesecakes stateside as I would have liked to, but most I've tried there were too sweet for my taste. So my answer for US cheesecake: New York, as made in a real New York Deli.

isn't supposed to be all that sweet. That's why you can overdo it with the cherry and blueberry toppings, imo.

34. I had a mind-blowing mango cheesecake last nite...
...at Tamarind, a great Indian restaurant in NYC. May have been the best cheesecake I've ever tasted.

Also the most expensive! $9 a piece.

Still, if you live in NYC, go there. Eat it.
