Anybody want to bandy?
I thought we might...you know...bandy something about.
Actually, I just got a new bandier and I'm dying to try it out.
You can serve.

4. Why do people always forget...
.. that BOSTON was having boycotts & riots over busing at the same time Birmingham / Selma was a march route?

Maybe the rest of the nation is just intrinsically single minded?

6. Let's see...
1 a : belonging to the essential nature or constitution of a thing <the intrinsic worth of a gem> <the intrinsic brightness of a star>

Intrinsically bigoted?

I think we are intrinsically undereducated, underpaid, preyed upon by corrupt politicians (it's generic down here), and constantly stirred up/incited/frightened by fundamentalist religionists. We are intrinsically gullible.

It doesn't help that we're the nation's fictional and "reality" television buffoons. Makes us kinda defensive sometimes.

And this was not meant to be a serious thread.
Damn.

17. What's The Legal Age For Bandying? 16? 18? 21?
Can you bandy without consent? Can someone be tricked into bandying without their knowledge? Are bandying licenses required in some states? Is bandying across state lines pemitted?

I worry, and I think it's important that we know things like this.

20. THE RULES:
No age limit, however verbal communication skills are a must.

No parental consent is required, however bandiers must consent among themselves to bandy.

Sole, individual bandying is discouraged, and practically impossible, anyway.

Chicanerous bandying is likewise discouraged. True bandiers are "up front".

Currently no fedral or state bandying license is required, however Senator Frist has introduced Senate Bill 830.5 requiring federal oversight. Bandiers are fighting this bill for all they're worth. See www.bandy.com

Bandying across state lines is encouraged by the American Bandying Instute.

23. That's All Well And Good If We're Talking About AMERICAN Bandying..
but as you well know, DU is visited by many people from many different countries.

Aren't the INTERNATIONAL bandying rules a bit different? In fact, I believe that there are time limits in effect for International Bandying that the American Bandying Inst. haven't even considered.
