Broke = lazy, at least as far as this individual is concerned.
The following letter appeared in this week's edition of the East Hartford Reminder. I sincerely hope this person dies lonely and bitter!

This is in response to "Money-Hungry Women." Why is it bad to want a man who has money? Personally, I will not date a man who doesn't have money, because I do not want to marry a man who will become dependent on me.

$50k per year is not what I consider "having money." In order to date me, you would need to make at least $100k per year. I think you are just upset because women want more than you can provide.

Why not do something about it instead of complaining? Look for a better job. Train for a better career. I would much rather be considered a "money-hungry" woman than be saddled with a broke, lazy man.

1. She must be really hot
Any woman who only dates in that income bracket would have to be really, really attractive--and she'd better invest while she's young...

2. Good thing
she wears her lack of heart so openly. I am sure men can see her gold-digging a mile away. Seems to me when you fall in love, you are supposed to take the whole package, and if that means supporting your man, well then, dammit, get it together and do it. It's your duty, if nothing else.

This is not to say that you should let a parasite live off you, but jesus! if I can't count on my spouse to keep me going when I'm down, then I should shoot myself.

3. 50K isn't having money?
Good Lord... she's obviously looking for 'love' isn't she?

4. Wonder what her hourly rate is?
"After all, now that we've established what she is, we're just dickering over the price."

7. What a sad and bitter life she must lead.
To not have the capacity to love someone for who they are, instead of their financial prospects.

People like her often do die lonely and bitter. Money does not automatically make a person a great life partner.

8. She obviously knows the true meaning of love...
NOT!

Just another aspect of how broken this joke of a society is.

What's left to say? People won't fix it, not when they're all as arrogant as this "person".

10. These are the type of women...
Who wonders why they get thrown aside when they hit the ripe ol' age of 35 for someone who is 21.
