Did they just kill off Donna on The West Wing?

Tonight's episode, Gaza, began with her riding in a car when a bomb went off nearby, flipping the car over...

10. Spoilers
Written in white.

Donna survived but was badly injured, with a broken leg and collapsed lung. Admiral Fitzwallace was also critically injured in the explosion (and died, I think, maybe... I didn't quite catch that part). The Israelis responded to the bombing by attacking with gunships trying to get a Hamas leader, killing a bunch of children in the process. The scenes from next week's show implied Donna's condition will be central to that plotline as well.

Next week is the season finale.

12. Interesting Wasn't It...
What the Israeli soldier said to Donna, about when people who are not monsters do horrible things it is the circumstances, not the person.

I mean, in light of the Iraqi prisoner torture and all.

But, there are other threads on that, and the writers couldn't have known - could they?
