Did you pay? What does Opera offer that Firefox doesn't have? Gestures?

5. The Wand...

faster page loading, infinite configurability, good mail and news clients (for those who want them), Personal Bar, history bar, built-in search functions, better cookie and popup control, slightly more convenient tabbing, window sizing and magnification...

OK, Moz has some of that, but I've been using Opera since V3.x, and have Mozilla iterations around for a few things, but always end up with Opera as my main browser. I paid for it once a few years ago around V4, but been using ad mode since.

The ad disappeared with 7.5, but I don't think they intended that. In hi-res modes it was tiny and didn't bother a thing anyway.

I lost buttons, the bookmark window is bizarre, it's using more memory...

Looks more like an 8 than 7.5.

But, everything works, and once I figure a couple of things out I think I'll like it a lot more than 7.3

Did you upgrade from another Opera, or something else?
