My take on The Blondie concert last night. She rocked
maybe I am old but darn. I saw her on A and E last week and thought she looked bad. But last night I flashed back to the seventies and became a punk all over again. She could not hit all the high notes but
did her best. The drummer kept the band going. He was very very good.

The life of a punk rocker or to be a cat. Who could ask for anything more?

I thought she did pretty good. Obviously not the Blondie of the 70's, but it was great to watch them. And yeah, Clem Burke (sp?) is a great drummer. He certainly hasn't lost his chops.

2. Glad you had a good evening!
And if there is another ride on the merry-go-round, I'm coming back as an otter.

Did you ever hear her sing the song about her boss getting a cell phone when they first came out? It is a hoot and a half.

3. I Was Disappointed
They just weren't very good. She bailed on a lot of songs, and the band was pretty sloppy. I was expecting much better. I watched the whole thing, because i like their songs, but it was not a good concert, IMO.

4. I am glad you had a good time, too.
I was not impressed when I saw her on The Today Show but obivously it is a "you had to be there moment".

Who can resist a good time with the week we have had?

Glad you had fun.:)

5. I saw 'em Monday at the 930 club in DC----fantastic!
What a tight band! Everything was so well done. One thing I love about Blondie is that their music---even the great OLD tunes that they covered (never thought I'd hear X Offender live!) are so fresh. And unlike alot of bands, they don't seem annoyed to give you your faves, nor do they feel compelled to dramatically change them for a live version. They do change 'em up a bit, but they seem to do it really just for fun, not to mess with you.

Debbie was in a playful, happy mood in DC, smiling and joking around. Plenty of her strange gyrations and dancing and sexy looks. She rocked, they rocked, the whole place was a love fest. Fabulous!

Hope I'm still that cool when I'm 58 (Ok, i'm not that cool now)
