1. My favorite
How do you cook it? It's such a pain to shake all those pieces in flour and toss them into the oil. I only make it on special occasions. When I met my husband, he always wanted lobster for his birthday. Now he wants fried squid.

5. Well, Oz is right...it is absolutely a pain to cook. And clean.
...but I think that anyone who's done it will say it's worth it...just not often.

Here's a pretty standard recipe. This is the same URL that contains the mouth-waterin' photo I posted...:-)

8. That's basically what I do
2 minutes may be too long to cook it, though, and it can get mushy if you try to keep it warm. It still tastes good, though.

2. Love Calamari..........here I come as long as..................
you are the one cleaning it. I make it and what a pain in the ass to clean and cut, let alone dipping it in the batter and dropping it individually in the fryer.

7. I'll clean it
I don't mind cleaning the squids. I'll do that, and you fry it, and we have a deal!

3. Fried calamari is one of my faves...
... but I've never actually attempted making it. Dunno, for some reason I've never really attempted to cook anything involving seafood...
